Charles Mbugua is a sustainable finance and climate risk professional with over 14 years of experience in financial services, credit risk management, business development, and strategic leadership. He currently serves as a Strategic Business Unit Head at Stima DT Sacco Society Ltd at Electricity House Branch and is also Trustee of the Stima Sacco Retirement Benefit Scheme (RBS).
Charles holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management), a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting), is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA(K), and a Certified Credit Professional of Kenya (CCP(K)). He is also a certified Green and Sustainable Finance Professional with the Chartered banker Institute (UK) and a Certified Carbon Finance Expert Consultant (Renewable Energy Institute-UK). His work focuses on Strategic and Sustainable Business growth through Sustainable Financing and Investment strategies. He is passionate about mobilizing private capital to accelerate climate adaptation and sustainable development across emerging markets.
